This is one of those products we hadn’t heard about before, but for the life of us we can’t figure out why. While none of us are vegan, we’re always on the lookout for good dairy-free alternatives to our daily coffee habits. We jumped at the chance to try Minor Figures’s barista-grade oat milk, eager to see how it stacks up to oat milk products that we were already familiar with such as Oatly and Pacific.

We were able to try both the USDA certified organic and regular oat milk, and right off the bat we loved the packaging! (By the way, if you’re a sucker for a funky design scheme–or ducks–you should check out their merch!)

The cartoon duck logo changes slightly between products. How cool is that!

There are six cartons in each case of Minor Figures Oat Milk.

At 114 calories per serving (139 calories for the organic version), you’ll get a little over four 8-ounce servings per carton. The ingredient list is pretty short: water, oats, low eruct acid, rapeseed oil, calcium phosphate, tribasic, calcium carbonate, and salt.

The oat milk has a creamy smooth texture and a pleasantly mild oat flavor. We couldn’t taste a huge difference between the regular and organic, so you don’t have to worry about giving up the flavor for organic!

The oat milk steams and pours great on professional-grade coffee shop equipment. Once you get over a bit of a learning curve and the lower steaming pressure, it also pours nicely on a small home espresso machine!

Our first pour was an iced latte with regular oat milk. It preserved the strong espresso flavor (we used Valentine’s Espresso Dolce) but gave this drink a silky smooth texture and an outstanding creaminess that we wouldn’t otherwise get from whole milk.

While the oat milk tastes amazing on its own and in an unflavored latte, perhaps the place it wowed us the most was when we added a little vanilla simple syrup. Sweetening the drink enhanced the subtle natural sweetness of the oat milk, without compromising the essence of the espresso. And tasted like melted ice cream.

So, I guess you could say we’re pretty smitten with this stuff. In a day and age where people are so loyal to their oat milk obsessions – Minor Figures is a must-try! You can find Minor Figures Oat Milk online HERE, and we are happy to report that shipping is prompt and quick!
